What's In My Summer Bag- Tessa Edition

Hey Lovelies!
Ever wonder what other girls carry around with them during these summer months? Ever pick up great ideas on little beauty treasures from what friends carry around? Well today, Tessa is gonna share with us what she keeps in her American Eagle messenger bag on a day to day basis.
Starting from left to right:

  • I always carry some kind of a snack with me and today you are looking at my breakfast of vanilla granola and a spoon to eat it with (Hey a girl's got to eat!)
  • I'm a waitress so you are seeing my little pad of paper and pens that I always carry around
  •  I ALWAYS carry around my little set of lotion and hand sanitizer in the scent "Japanese Cherry Blossom" because it smells great and my hands feel gross after work or shopping so its an easy way to clean up!
  • Next is my Tiffany & Co Horseshoe necklace that Jess gave me for my high school graduation (LOVE her for this!)
  • Then it is my EOS chap stick and my Advil just necessary stuff (aka BORING)
  • I also carry 2 wallets (Crazy right?), one with my credit cards and gifts cards and such (The little brown one) and one for my money (The purple one)
  • I have my glasses that I need for driving and the hand me down Coach case they stay in, as well as my Delia's sunglasses (Anyone else notice that Delia's sunglasses fall of your face SO easily?)
  • Then comes one of my personal favs, this old school compact with a mirror on one side and a hair brush on the other! (Any other 90's girls remember these little gems?)
  • And last but not least is my car/ house keys on what else but a zebra tie dye key chain?!?
Hope you enjoyed going through the little mess I call my purse. Be on the lookout for Jessica's version of what's in my summer bag!
Til Next time!

Alex and Ani – Positive Energy – The NEW Charm Bracelet

Remember when having the Tiffany silver bead bracelet was all the rage but you knew you could never swing the $200 price tag that came along with it? Or the Pandora bracelet craze where just 1 bead can be $35?! I know I was one of those girls! Just recently I was introduced to Alex and Ani – the next trend in fashion bracelets – with a much more approachable cost that won’t make you feel like you need to start selling your belongings on eBay just to afford it.

Made in the USA (wahoo!) and from recycle materials (double wahoo!!) – Alex and Ani are the newest “it” bracelets to grace us with their presence. Stack’em, collect’em & trade’em with your friends! Each bracelet varies from $28-$38 for a single bracelet with charm. They can go all the way up to the big bucks but the ones that are the best sellers are in the $28-$38 range. Now you can buy them on-line but I have recently seen them at local jewelry stores too. They are a great way to remember milestones in your life whether they be graduations, vacations, moments or people.

All my silver ones were given to me as end of the year gifts from my dance students! I only take them off when I go to bed. The significance of the gift and from the person make it all that more special to wear. Look at the adorable note from my little Sofia! It’s a great idea for if you want to send a gift far away and want to include a note with it!

Where to find these:
Path of Life in Russian Silver
To get to a similar Fleur de Lis like Jess's, go to the Alex and Ani homepage and search Fleur de Lis it should come up!

Globe Trotting

Hey Lovelies!
So maybe the title of this post is misleading. Jessica and I did not go to Cancun and sip tropical drinks by a pool, or go to Paris and eat a great French meal. Well we did sip tropical drinks by a pool, and technically we did go to Paris and eat an amazing French meal, but we never left the country. Nope! We did something better, we went to Florida! And more specifically, Disney world! Back in April Jess, I, and our other sister Krista spent a long weekend in Orlando and spent a lot of time at our pool that looked like this...
Dancing in our room like this...
And taking photos before every ride we went on like this...
It was a great time and I really have to thank Jess for inviting me to come with! Here are a few of our best outfits from the trip...

Hope you enjoyed hearing about our trip! Let us know if you want to see what else we packed and how we made it all fit in one suitcase! Til next time!

Welcome

Well this post could not be more appropriately named if I had actually given a thought to it. Welcome. Two years later and Jess and I are finally back on trying to share our love of all things girly and cute with the world. We have a new layout, a new blog name (this is the blog formerly known as Daily Sisterly Ramblings)and even some new tweets which you can read right here. There's plenty more on the way and I'd tell you what but even Jess and I don't know what to expect! So as all the saying goes, stay tuned!

Days Like This

Days like this don't happen often so I cherish them while I can. Those days where I can vent about anything, pig out on everything I know I shouldn't eat, and laugh and cry all at the same time. I'm talking about a night with my sister. I may say this too much but THOSE nights are my favorite.
Making BBQ chicken pizza and talking about why we hate life this time never seems as relaxing as when you're doing it with family. The people you can be 100% percent real with and don't have to worry about your secrets being spread the next day.
Turning off our phones, sitting at the table true one-on-one Jess and Tess time. Days like this make my tension disappear and let me know however horrible things might seem... when I'm with Jess I know it will all work out in the end.
